The Best Scrubs, Peels and Masks

You only get one face and one set of skin and that is why it is the most important thing to take care of. If your skin doesn't look good then nothing you put on top of it will look good either. That is why taking excellent care of your skin is a must!! Washing your face and putting on moisturizer and SPF is all good but you skin needs some extra help sometimes, that is why scrubs, masks, and peels should be your secret weapons and new best friends. For the record, I am not a skin expert or a Dermatologist or anything of that sort, I just love skincare and taking care of my skin and these are some of the products that have worked amazing for me and have been my go-to's. I have normal to dry skin (more dry in the winter) that is SUPER sensitive, everything under the sun breaks me out, you name it i've tried it and it has broken me out. Here are some of the products that I continue to use over and over and have made a difference for the better in my skin and have not made me break out!!
1. SCRUBS:
Scrubs and exfoliators help get all the dead skin cells off in order to make sure that anything you put on top of your face will actually penetrate the new healthy skin underneath and not just sit on top of the dead layer of skin and do nothing. I absolutely love this one by Lush, like its name states, it has real sea salt in it as well as brightening ingredients! I have gone through so many of these it is by far my favorite exfoliator ever. It is not too harsh on my skin, but it is grainy enough to do the job. I love the smell too, its like heaven. Definitely worth going into Lush and at least grabbing a sample to try!!
2. PEELS:
Peels are amazing for so many different reasons, it just depends what you are looking for. My favorite peels are ones that help with discoloration, hyper-pigmentation, brightening, and acne. This one by Peter Thomas Roth is my all time favorite, as well is this one by Dr. Dennis Gross. I have repurchased both of these over and over again. These have helped with my hyper-pigmentation and with those pesky red post acne marks. Whenever I get a pimple, even when it goes away I will have a red spot there for what feels like FOREVER, and these pads have really help fade those spots. The only thing that I don't see a difference in with these pads are my "wrinkles." I haven't noticed any difference in fine lines or anything but these have definitely helped with discoloration, brightening, and acne. I also love how they are a pad and all of the product is already on them, just take one out wipe it out your face, leave it on for a couple minutes then rinse it off and bam you're done. The Dr. Dennis Gross ones are even easier! No washing off involved, just a simple two step system that works like magic. They are both a tad pricey but so worth it! The good thing is that they come in smaller increments so you can test them out before committing and buying the big one.
3. MASKS:
I never use to be a big masks person, I just never felt like they really did anything for me, they were just whatever. I knew they helped a lot of people for a lot of different reasons, whether that be helping with acne, moisturizing, etc, I just never saw a HUGE difference on myself. Well, that all changed once I tried these two bad boys!!! The REN mask is awesome if you are looking for something to help brighten up your complexion and help fade spots. I use mine like once or twice a week and it works great! You can see a difference in your skin the next morning when you wake up!! It is kind of pricey as well that is why mine is a deluxe sample but I got like 4 deluxe samples from Sephora so I am hoarding them for as long as I can haha. Now onto my favorite mask of life!!!!!!
TruSelf Organics one which was spreading all around Instagram. I decided why not I'll try it, its Organic and not too expensive and everyone is raving about it so it's worth a shot. Well, everyone is raving about it because it is the greatest thing ever. Whatever you are doing, stop doing it and go buy this. TRUST ME!! After I use this mask my pores feel tighter, cleaner, and my face feels all around amazing. It comes as a powder in this container and you just mix it with water and put it all over your face, or you can buy the kit thing they sell online but I just stuck with the mask. The whole powder aspect isn't my favorite, but once I was it off it makes it all worth it! I feel it deep cleaning and tightening, and when you wash it off it works as an exfoliator at the same time, ahhhhh its PERFECT!!! Bottom line is you need it in your life. Ok you guys, I have tried every "detoxifying" mask out there and not one of them did anything, I didn't get it. I've tried the most expensive ones to the cheapest and just nothing.
