My Fall Must Haves

Even though it is currently 100 degrees in San Diego every store I go into, whether it be Target or Nordstroms, I am constantly reminded that Fall is around the corner. Before we know it we are going to be bundled up in our sweaters and scarves drinking coffee and hot chocolate by the fire! Don't get me wrong, I am a Southern California girl at heart who loves summer, but there is something about fall and getting all bundled up in cute clothes that I love! Here are a couple of my fall must have pieces, click the picture for its direct link!

1. One of my favorite things to wear especially in fall and winter is a loose knit sweater like this one. Not only do they go with just about anything, but they are the most comfortable thing to wear! I found this one at H&M and its super cute and affordable!

2. Nothing like a good pair of black distressed skinnies to take a boring look into one with some edge. Pairing even a plain T-Shirt with a pair of distressed skinnies makes you look so chic yet it was so effortless. I love an awesome pair of black jeans and for me these are them! I got these bad boys at Nordstrom Topshop, they are the " Moto Leigh" ripped skinnies. These jeans are extremely comfortable because they have a ton of stretch but they do run kind of small, I had to go a size up. However, they do stretch so just make sure you don't size up too much.

3. BOOTS!! I love boots, I have more boots in my shoe collection than any other shoe. You always need to have a staple black boot, whether it is a flat one or one with a a heel, they are a must have for fall! I got these Sam Edelman "Kayla" Boots back at the Nordstrom half yearly sale for 40% off, they are still available but they are no longer on sale sadly. They are super cute knee high suede boots with a heel and tie up detail in the back. I'm typically not a big heel person but I love these boots so much and they'r so comfy I cannot wait to bust them out!!

4. A leather jacket, do I need to say more? Everyone needs a leather jacket in their closet, bottom line. I am obsessed with my leather jackets, they are everything! Talk about taking a look up a notch, just throw on some leather and bam there you go! I love this one in particular because of all of the small details it has, from the zippers, buckles and texture it is just amazing. Not going to lie, this jacket was pricey, but I saved up because a leather jacket is one thing that I am willing to splurge on especially when its high quality and I know it is going to last me forever. I picked this one up last year at Zara but they still have it in stock! Go snag it before its gone!!

5. Scarves! I love scarves for so many different reasons. You can wear them with anything, literally anything. You could be wearing a plain T-shirt and a boring pair of jeans and spruce it up a little bit with a super cute scarf. I think of a scarf almost like a piece of jewelry, it just adds that extra something to an outfit and it also keeps you warm and cozy at the same time! My favorite kind of scarves are the ones that are bulky, I know that sounds weird but there is something about a thick bulky scarf that I just love! Plaid scarves and leopard print scarves are a few of my other top favorites. I don't have this exact scarf but I have many that look like it and I have had the BEST luck with scarves during the Fall and Winter at Zara. They are thick, not too bulky and just amazing! Definetly worth checking out!

6. Last but not least are flannels. I love flannels, I have what you could call a flannel addiction haha. Urban Outfitters and Zara have always had the best flannels in my opinion, every time I try to go somewhere else, it never works. They never fit the same, they are always extremely boxy or too tight, and the quality is never as good and it just ends up being a huge fail. So I have learned to just save up and get the ones that are really worth the extra money. This one here is from Zara and it is super soft and fits like a dream....BUT WAIT if you dont want to spend the extra money and you have a lot of patience then a great place to find flannels are thrift shops like Goodwill, Salvation Army, and consignment stores like Buffalo Exchange. There are some hidden gems in those places I promise, you just have to dig a little and have the patience to look!
